Taco Bell BORNX refers to a quick-service restaurant (QSR) project likely tied to Bronx, New York locations, such as new builds in high-traffic urban sites like East 149th St or 174th Street. The project emphasizes drive-thru efficiency within dense footprints of approximately 7,000 sq. ft.
We utilized larger footprints to enable 30-40% energy optimization through zoned VAV boxes with DDC controls, modulating to 20% minimum airflow based on VOC/particle sensors to achieve LEED v4.1 readiness with EUI targets under 80 kBTU/sq ft annually. We employed BIM-6D integration to track constructability for the 7,000 sq. ft. site, resolving 98% of clashes via federated Revit/Navisworks workflows to ensure zero change orders. Additionally, drive-thru expansions achieve 350 vehicles/hr peaks, supported by pneumatic tube systems and shielded loop detectors immune to EMI from nearby subway infrastructure.
Led by Ramanathan Periyaswamy and Usha Lachathipathy, Hexanovus delivers sustainable, budget-friendly MEP designs crafted for long-term project success.
